Experience "A Stahl’s Family Christmas" – A Festive Holiday Celebration

Join us as Stahl’s Pottery Preservation Society brings back "A Stahl’s Family Christmas" after 18 years! Celebrate the holiday season with us over three days filled with traditional Christmas cheer, warm hospitality, and the unique artistry of local potters.

Event Highlights

  • Guided Tours & Exhibits:
    Explore the historic pottery site with festive decorations and thousands of twinkling lights illuminating the grounds. Enjoy guided tours through the pottery building, and visit the museum displaying a remarkable collection of pottery wares.

  • Stahl Family House:
    Step into the Thomas and Alice Stahl House, where you’ll be greeted with freshly baked cookies, straight from the oven, served in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

  • Potter’s Tent & Holiday Market:
    Warm up in a heated tent featuring 12 local potters showcasing and selling their handmade creations. Stop by the SPPS collectible stand for exclusive t-shirts, hats, ornaments, and publications.

  • Holiday Treats & Refreshments:
    Head to the Russell Stahl addition for a homemade cookie and candy sale, with hot chocolate, hot cider, and coffee available to keep you warm and toasty. Schaeffer Catering will be on-site all three days, offering delicious snacks and light dinner options.

  • Santa’s Visit & Christmas Activities:
    Santa Claus will make a special appearance on Saturday! Plus, we’re working on pottery demonstrations (check back for updates), bringing the artistry of pottery to life for visitors of all ages.

Please note:

  • The site is an outdoor farm with uneven ground.

  • Handicap parking is available.

  • A ramp does lead up to the house museum and a ground level entrance is available into the main potting room.

  • Port-a-potties are available on site, including a handicap accessible toilet.
